Compatibility is not established by comparing Sun Signs or Star Signs. Very often people will be attracted to one another but their Zodiac Sun Signs are quite incompatible. This tends to be more common than not. This is because we are attracted to other people on the emotional level primarily through the positions of the Moon and Venus in our own Horoscopes.

Compatibility exists or an attraction is established when the position of either Venus or the Moon of one person is the same as the Sun Sign of the other person. This is quite a common connection between people who are attracted.
Attraction will also occur if both people have their Moons in the same sign. Also if both people have their Venus’ in the same sign. Or if one person’s Moon is the same sign as the other person’s Venus. Any one of these combinations gives a very strong sense of feeling comfortable with one another. It also stimulates a degree of unspoken understanding.
Whenever people are attracted to one another, it means there is something for each person to learn from the other. The Sun Sign under which we were born indicates the qualities we need to learn to develop in this life-time.
We all have relationships in our life-time. Nobody is an island unto themselves, although it may seem many people can act this way. Relationships are not just love relationships. Relationships exists between parents and children, siblings, friends, neighbours, in the workplace or in any situations that involve interaction between people.
There will be circumstances at times where there is little choice other than to spend a great deal of time with a particular person and have to relate to them. If you feel comfortable with that person, there will be the same types of connections between one another’s planets as there would be if you were romantically involved. If you do not feel comfortable, it means there are stressful or incompatible contacts between both individual’s planets.
Stressful or incompatible contacts simply mean there will be adjustments that need to be made or compromises that have to be reached to establish a satisfactory relationship. All relationships have a degree of compromise attached to them. When the planets have positions in common, compromising is easier. When the planets are in conflict, compromising becomes more difficult, but not impossible.
Whenever you come into contact with a person, whoever they may be, for any prolonged period of time in your life, it simply means there is something for you to learn from the relationship with that person. There is also something for them to learn from their relationship with you. This is when you compare Sun Signs because Sun Signs show what each individual is to learn from life.

The fire signs and the air signs are compatible. Both these elements are projective, meaning they tend to act on things relatively quickly. They look for what they want and go after it. Will often miss the very obvious.
The water signs and the earth signs are compatible. Both these elements are receptive, meaning they stand back and take in what is going on around them. They think carefully before they act and tend to analyse all the different options.
