There are 12 Houses (or sections) of the Horoscope. These represent the areas of life in which the influence and activities of the planets take place. There is one house for each of the 12 Zodiac Signs.
When a person is born, all the planets of the Solar System fall into a variety of houses in their Horoscope. From that moment on, the planets continue to move around the Horoscope. When a planet does an entire revolution of the 12 Zodiac Signs, it has moved completely around a Horoscope.
The length of the cycle of each planet determines how long that planet will spend in each house. The Moon spends only 2 to 3 days in one house, whereas all the other planets vary from 1 month to many, many years. The faster moving planets will move through all the houses of the Horoscope many times in the person’s life. The very slow moving planets, Neptune and Pluto, cannot move through every house of a person’s Horoscope. They travel through a select few.
It is not possible for any person to have planets situated in every house of their Horoscope, when they were born. There will be empty houses.
